The Culture Files delivers a freshly curated selection of New York City-centric news and events. We tend to favor the underdogs, the new kids on the block, and the underrepresented.

The website is edited by Mindy Bond, an urban adventurer and culture junkie who was most recently managing editor at Flavorpill. She also did time at Gothamist, where she helped launch the website’s event section and had a regular interview column. In previous lives, she worked in advertising and independent film.
