The Standard to Host Halloween Sleep-In Cinema Series

Standard Sleep-in Cinema Halloween 2016After a successful run of events this summer, The Standard and mattress masters Casper are resurrecting their Sleep-in Cinema series in honor of Halloween. Taking place Friday, October 28 through Monday, October 31, the series will again find folks watching films projected on a large screen from the comfort of a bed at The Standard, High Line. As far as the films go, the slate includes a mix of both PG and R-rated cult chillers such as Disney’s Hocus Pocus (1993), The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993), The Shining (1980), and Sam Raimi’s The Evil Dead (1981). You can find the complete schedule below.

The Standard and Casper’s summer series paired sunset cocktails and screenings and featured cult classics like Michel Gondry’s Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Groundhog Day, and Vanilla Sky.

Tickets for this Halloween fright fest are bought by the bed and are available in three denominations, full (up to 2 people), queen (up to 3 people) and king (up to 4 people). In addition to a bed, admission includes a selection of candy, soda, and popcorn. Other food is also available for pre-order and purchase. For more information and to reserve a bed go here.
