One of Tribeca’s staples is its community-minded street fair which takes place on Greenwich Street north of Chambers. The day-long fete celebrates creativity and storytelling through workshops, screenings, installations, performances and more. Highlights of the day include a program of StoryCorps-presented animated short films at the Tribeca Film Center Screening Room, and performances by members of the casts of Bright Star, Finding Neverland and more, and the the Art Bar at Tribeca Studios Backlot where fair goers can sculpt puppets, build set pieces and create stop motion animation. Also part of the Tribeca Studios Backlot programming is a Ghostbusters Fan Fest, which features a free fan screening at the Regal Cinemas Battery Park, a conversation with the team behind the Ghostheads documentary, and a bunch of Ghostbusters-themed activations.

In conjunction with the street fair is Tribeca/ESPN Sports Day. An area of the fair will feature a variety of participatory sports and games, and members of local New York teams will also be on hand.

The street fair takes place on Saturday, April 23 from 10am-6pm.
