Like a good film, a film festival is not complete without a beginning, middle and an end. Today, the Tribeca Film Festival unveiled the final act of its 2015 saga: a GoodFellas reunion. Celebrating its 25th Anniversary this year, the Martin Scorsese classic has been painstakingly remastered under the director’s watchful eye from a 4k scan of the original camera negative. Following a screening of the glorious new print, the film’s creators and cast are slated to sit down with Jon Stewart for a trip down memory lane.

Based on Nicholas Pileggi’s true-crime bestseller “Wiseguy”, Goodfellas wowed critics and movie fans alike when it hit theaters in 1990. Starring Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci, Lorraine Bracco, Ray Liotta and Paul Sorvino, the film earn six Academy Award nominations including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Film Editing, and Best Adapted Screenplay. Of all the nominations, Joe Pesci was the only one to take home an award that night for Best Supporting Actor.

The festival appearance comes in advance of Warner Bros. Home Entertainment’s plans to release a 25th Anniversary edition of the film on Blu-rayTM and Digital HD on May 5th. The special edition will include a new documentary, “Scorsese’s GoodFellas.”

The Tribeca Closing Night festivities, which are co-sponsored by Infor and Roberto Coin, will take place at the Beacon Theater on Saturday, April 25th. Tickets go on sale to the general public on March 28 via tribecafilm.com
