After traveling far and wide on the US festival circuit, the affecting Spanish drama 10.000KM is finally traveling to a theater near you. The feature debut of Carlos Marques-Marcet, the film is about a couple (played by Natalia Tena and David Verdaguer) who are trying to cope with a long-distance relationship in the digital age.

At the film’s open, Alex and Sergi are living in Barcelona and making plans to have a baby, when Alex, who is a photographer, learns that she has been offered a year-long paid residency in Los Angeles. Feeling that this is an important move for her career, Alex embarks for the City of Angels, leaving behind Sergi, who can’t quit his teaching job. Can their romance stay afloat via video chat, text and spying on social media?
