New Year’s Eve 2017: Our Party Picks for Ringing in the New Year in NYC

New Year’s Eve 2017: Our Party Picks for Ringing in the New Year in NYC

(For a list of New Year’s Eve 2018 options go here.)

While 2016 really needs to be kicked to the curb, we are trepidatious about jumping into the great unknown of Trump’s first year as president. Perhaps all we can do at this point is cross our fingers and have a silly good time on New Year’s Eve 2017. For those looking for something to do in New York City, we’ve come up with a list of parties and shows we consider to be the best of the lot. We tried to stay clear of the super pricey stuff, although we did throw a couple in that we thought would be worthy. In the mix you’ll find an immersive Parisian soiree, a no-cover party in Williamsburg with DJ Andy Rourke (the Smiths) and free vodka, Rubulad’s Y2K Flashback, Thurston Moore, and more. In addition to those below, you may also want to think about paying last respects to Elvis GuesthouseCake Shop and Brooklyn bar Daddy’s, all three venues are saying so long at the end of 2016.
