‘Do Not Resist’, Maurizio Cattelan Doc & More Screen in Tribeca Summer Series at Nitehawk

Missed out on seeing the jury prize winner for Best Documentary Feature at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival? Not to worry, it’s screening at Nitehawk Cinema this week along with three other notable films from this year’s festival in the Tribeca Summer Doc Series. The series, which is now in its third year, is a curated program that features nightly screenings of Tribeca documentaries followed by lively Q&As with the filmmakers.

The series gets underway tonight with Craig Atkinson’s timely documentary Do Not Resist. The award winning film examines the rapid militarization of police in America. Also screening this week is Jenny Gage’s All This Panic, which follows a group of girls over the course of three years as they come of age in New York City. Wednesday night finds Maura Axelrod’s portrait of elusive art-world prankster Maurizio Cattelan in the theater, while Thursday hosts Vanessa Gould’s Obit, a fascinating behind the scenes look at the team of writers who craft The New York Times obituary section.

You can find the trailer for the series below as well as sneak previews of Maura Axelrod’s Maurizio Cattelan: Be Right Back, and Vanessa Gould’s Obit. For ticket and series schedule information visit the Nitehawk Cinema website.
