Radiohead Shares Video For New Single, “Burn the Witch”

It’s here. After having everyone on the edge of their devices for days, Radiohead has shared a video for their new single, “Burn the Witch.” You can watch it below.

A stop-motion animation video, “Burn the Witch” appears to reimagine George Murray’s 1960s children’s television series the Trumptonshire Trilogy, giving it a sinister twist. The video finds Radiohead re-teaming with director Chris Hopewell who worked with the band on the award-winning video for “There, There.” Hopewell’s other credits include The Knife’s “Marble House”, The Killers’ “Smile Like You Mean It” and Franz Ferdinand’s “Eleanor.” Update 5/4: Chris Hopewell has posted a number of behind-the-scenes photos of the making of the video on his Instagram.

The new track comes a few short days after Radiohead sent out mysterious flyers to a handful of fans in the UK. The flyer warned that they know where they lived along with a message “Six the song of sixpence that goes Burn the Witch.” Then on Sunday, May 1, all of Radiohead’s social media channels, as well as the band’s website, went blank.

“Burn The Witch” is available now for download here and here.
