Taco Bell Serves Up Free Tacos & PlayStation VR Demos in NYC

Taco Bell Playstation VR Pop-upTacos and VR, two things we wouldn’t necessarily associate together, are having a bonding moment. Happening through today in New York City, Taco Bell is hosting a pop-up VR arcade where you can get free tacos and also try out PlayStation VR before its released in October. It goes down in Soho at 79 Greene Street from 11am-5pm.

The storefront celebrates the launch of Taco Bell’s latest promotion with Sony. The fast-food chain has teamed up with consumer electronics brand to give away PlayStation VRs. Those interested in entering just need to purchase a Taco Bell Big Box combo ($5) at any Taco Bell to get a code that you can text for a chance to win. They promise to give away over 3,000 headsets during the promotions month-long run.

As for the pop-up, lucky visitors have a chance to try out one of three games within PlayStation VR Worlds: VR Luge, Danger Ball and Ocean Descent (don’t do this one if you’re afraid of sharks). After you try out the games you can get a t-shirt covered in tacos. Plus, there is a truck parked outside dispensing free tacos.

If you miss out on the pop-up, but are eager to experience what PlayStation VR is all about, just head over to Sony Square. Recently opened at 25 Madison Avenue in NYC, the showroom is offering folks the chance to try out Sony’s latest interactive gadget. You have more games to choose from, and the lines aren’t nearly as long as the ones at the Taco Bell pop-up. You can even reserve a spot in advance by going here. However, it does have one downfall, no free tacos.
