Vulture Festival Returns for 2016 with Sarah Silverman & Friends, Tickets On Sale Now

Vulture Festival 2016 Sarah Silverman TicketsNew York City-dwelling pop culture fiends will be happy to learn that Vulture Festival will be returning for 2016. In addition to sharing the fest’s dates, which are May 21-22, 2016, the organizers have revealed that Sarah Silverman & Friends will be part of the programming on Sunday, May 22. Her show is set to take place at BAM and tickets are on sale now.

Launched in 2014, Vulture Festival is a weekend-long pop culture extravaganza put together by New York Magazine and Vulture.com. The event, which is headquartered at Milk Studios, serves up exclusive screenings, live podcast tapings, conversations, comedy nights, a celebrity game show, cast reunions, a concert at Webster Hall and usually a few cocktails. In past years, guests and performers have included Jerry Seinfeld, Amy Poehler, Billy Eichner, M.I.A., Adam Scott, Tig Notaro, Kevin Smith, Mike Birbiglia, and Broad City’s Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer. New York / Vulture Senior Art Critic Jerry Saltz has also gotten in on the act, taking eager art beavers on tours of Chelsea galleries and the new Whitney Museum.

In terms of the lineup for 2016, the only thing leaked so far is the Sarah Silverman & Friends show on Sunday, May 22 at BAM’s Howard Gilman Opera House. The outspoken comedian, who recently made headlines for backing presidential candidate Bernie Sanders, performed a similar sold-out show at BAM in January. Her “friends” for the upcoming gig aren’t specified, but we wouldn’t worry too much, the Emmy Award winner knows an impressive lot of funny people. Tickets for her Vulture Festival engagement start at $47 and are available here.

2016 also finds Vulture Festival engaging new content and promotional partners. Signing on are OUTFRONT Media, New York comedy institution Carolines on Broadway, and Earwolf, the podcasting network that’s home to such original shows as “Comedy Bang Bang,” “Question of the Day,” “How Did This Get Made?” and “Longest Shortest Time.” Earwolf is working with Vulture to bring a full slate of live podcast programming to this year’s fête.
