Still relevant after all these years, Wilco recently closed out a string of US concert dates with a NPR Music Tiny Desk Concert. The group are one of a select few who have played Bob Boilen’s series more than once. Their entire stripped-down set, which runs approximately 17 minutes, is available for viewing below. The band perform four songs that span their musical catalog. Also, the band have announced they have added a show in Chicago this summer. Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, February 26.

In July 2015, Wilco surprised fans with the release of their ninth studio album, Star Wars. Announced on their website and social media, the album was available for free download for a limited time. The release came just prior to their headlining set at the Pitchfork Music Festival, where they played the album in its entirety. Star Wars later received an Grammy nomination for Best Alternative Music Album, but ultimately lost out to Alabama Shakes’ Sound & Color.

As previously mentioned, the band recently finished a US tour in support of the new record and will be back at it again in June. They play a few select US shows before heading to Europe. When they return they have a “coming home” show planned in Chicago at Jay Pritzker Pavilion on August 21, presale starts tomorrow, Wednesday February 24 at 10am CT, with general on sale happening here Friday, February 26 at 11am CT.
