In our eyes, it doesn’t get any cooler than having a President that appreciates Courtney Barnett. The Aussie sensation, as well as Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Janelle Monáe, Prince, Gary Clark Jr., and Chance the Rapper, among others, have made it onto this year’s POTUS summer playlist. Split into two, daytime and nighttime, you can browse/listen to all the tracks below.

The White House jumped on Spotify last year and published the President’s inaugural summer playlist. Also split into daytime and nighttime, it included tracks by Okkervil River, Leonard Cohen, Talib Kweli & Hi Tek, John Coltrane, The Lumineers, Erykah Badu, Van Morrison and more. It was so well received, that they followed it up with other playlists, The First Lady’s Day of the Girl Playlist, Holidays with the Obamas, and Holidays with the Bidens (who knew the VP liked Kenny Loggins?).

For this year’s list, President Obama again choses an eclectic mix, incorporating both classic hits by Prince, Nina Simone and Billie Holiday, as well as more recent tunes by folks such as Common and Nigerian-American recording artist Jidenna. He also affirms his appreciation for jazz with tracks by Charles Mingus and Miles Davis. Perhaps a little more unexpected is his inclusion of Tropicália musician Caetano Veloso.

This of course will be Obama’s last summer playlist as president. We’ve already started to imagine what Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump’s playlists might look like. More on that later.
