Iggy Pop Shares ‘Break Into Your Heart’, Second Single off ‘Post Pop Depression’ (Updated with Colbert Performance)

The second song off of Iggy Pop’s collaboration with Josh Homme has surfaced and it’s sure to crawl under your skin. The song is titled “Break Into Your Heart” and you can listen to it below.

The leak of “Break Into Your Heart” comes just days after Iggy and Homme announced Post Pop Depression, the new album they secretly recorded in the California desert with Dean Fertita and drummer Matt Helders in tow. The pair surprised fans with the news last week on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, where they also performed the first single, “Gardenia”.

“Break Into Your Heart” is a hypnotic track. By its end we were certainly ready to surrender everything to Iggy. Please, come in. And, the stark image of Iggy and Homme holding hands that is posted with the song on YouTube is so damn endearing.

Post Pop Depression is due out March 18. Pre-orders, which are available via iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, and the Iggy Pop webstore, include instant downloads of “Gardenia” and “Break Into Your Heart.”

UPDATE: Iggy, Homme and crew performed “Break Into Your Heart” live before the The Late Show with Stephen Colbert studio audience. It didn’t appear on the show, but you can watch it below.
