Rounding out an already awesome week in Iggy Pop news, the rocker today announced his Post Pop Depression tour. A limited run of one-time-only live dates, the jaunt begins March 28 in Seattle, WA and includes 13 North American shows before Iggy heads to Europe for an additional 7 gigs, ending May 15 in Paris. The full tour schedule is below. Tickets for the North American dates go on sale to the general public on Saturday, January 30, with pre-sales commencing January 28 (password: GARDENIA). Tickets for the European portion go on sale beginning January 29.

Taking fans by surprise just a week ago, Iggy went on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert with Josh Homme in tow and announced that the pair had secretly recorded an album together in Joshua Tree. Entitled Post Pop Depression, the LP is slated for a March 18 release via Rekords Rekords/Loma Vista/Caroline International. Iggy then previewed the glorious first track “Gardenia” before Colbert’s audience. A few days later, Iggy shared the addicting second track, “Break Into Your Heart,” which we are posting again below in case you need a refresher.

Joining Iggy on tour will be the album line-up of producer/guitarist/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist/bandleader Joshua Homme, Homme’s Queens Of The Stone Age bandmate and Dead Weather-man Dean Fertita and Arctic Monkeys drummer Matt Helders—augmented by QOTSA multi-instrumentalist Troy Van Leeuwen and journeyman guitarist/bassist Matt Sweeney. In addition to performing the new album, Iggy will also perform classics spanning his solo career.
