Kevin Morby has added another New York City stop to his tour schedule. On Wednesday, April 24, in advance of the release of his new album, Oh My God, Morby invites fans to join him for the New York premiere of Oh My God, a short film by Christopher Good. The screenings, presented by wondrous event gurus Atlas Obscura, take place at Pushkin Hall, an intimate, high-ceilinged, vintage ballroom-styled theater on the Upper West Side. After the screening, Morby performs songs off the new album. Tickets for the screenings are on sale now.

In stores Friday, April 26, Oh My God is Morby’s fifth studio album. Produced by Sam Cohen, the 14-song LP is being described as Morby’s musings on faith and self. The singer-songwriter has shared two tracks off the album,  “No Halo” and “Nothing Sacred/All Things Wild.” Fans can also get a hint of the album’s title track via this video, shot at a recent show at Industry City. Oh My God is available for pre-order via Dead Oceans.

Morby collaborated with Christopher Good on all the videos for the album. Stylistically, the visuals are affecting and surreal. Good’s other work includes videos for Waxahatchee’s “Chapel of Pines,” Okkervil River’s “Pulled Up The Ribbon,” Mitski’s “Nobody,” and Grizzly Bear’s “Losing All Sense.”

The Oh My God short film had its world premiere on April 3 at the Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles. Morby is also presenting it at the Myers Hotel in Tonganoxie, Kansas on April 13.

As for the festivities in NYC on April 24, there will be two screenings of the short, at 7:30pm and 9:30pm. Both screenings are accompanied by a solo performance by Morby. Pushkin Hall, where the screenings are taking place, is the theater of West-Park Presbyterian Church, which was built in the 1800s and landmarked in 2010. The theater only accommodates 75, so the screenings are sure to sell out. Admission includes one complimentary beverage. Tickets for both screenings are on sale now at the Atlas Obscura website.

After Oh My God‘s release, Morby will return to New York on May 31 to play Town Hall. All tour dates are listed below.
