LOFT to Launch LOL Movie Series Curated by Whitney Cummings

LOFT is getting into the outdoor screening business this summer with the launch of the LOL Movie Series. Curated by comedian/actress Whitney Cummings (Whitney), the free series is produced in conjunction with Rooftop Films and brings laugh-out-loud films to waterfront spots in New York City and Chicago.

LOL Movie Series LOFT Cummings, who has a new HBO pilot in the works, isn’t afraid to be frank when it comes to sex and relationships. For LOL, she has come up with an excellent slate of female-centric classics that explore the same territory. Scheduled to screen in New York City at Solar One are Sixteen Candles (June 16), Frances Ha (June 25), and Bridesmaids (June 30). In Chicago, the screenings take place on the roof at the Whole Foods Lincoln Park and feature Bridesmaids (July 8), Ghostworld (July 15), and When Harry Met Sally (July 22). All screenings begin at 8:30pm and Cummings will be on hand to introduce Sixteen Candles in New York.

In addition to the films, the screening events kick off with music, food and drinks, and offer a chance to win a $500 LOFT Gift Card and tickets to see a local comedy show. LOVELOFT card members are given front row action. The screenings are free, but RSVPs are being taken, so visit the LOFT website if you want in.
