For some, turning 50 is marked by a mid-life crisis, but that is certainly not the case for Vans. The lifestyle brand is embracing their “Off The Wall” milestone by throwing free massive House of Vans parties featuring performances by Nas, Dinosaur Jr., Wu-Tang Clan, The Kills, Erykah Badu, Jamie xx, Dizzee Rascal, Yeasayer, Shlohmo and more. Happening in ten cities across the globe, each shindig will go down in an immersive environment designed specifically for Vans, and will incorporate elements of the brand’s heritage in action sports, art, music and street culture.

The festivities, which take place between March 16-19, will be hosted in Austin, New York, Toronto, Mexico City, London, São Paulo, Hong Kong, Seoul, Cape Town and Kuala Lumpur. In addition to raucous musical sets, revelers will be treated to a range of activations including D.I.Y workshops, shoe personalization, a retrospective that goes through the history of the brand, and a 3-D interactive display of Vans’ 2016 brand campaign.

We have our eye on Brooklyn since it’s right in backyard. That one will of course go down at House of Vans in Greenpoint and serves up Nas, Yeasayer, who have a new album coming out on Mute on April 1, and DJ set by Questlove. Now that we’ve given you the party lowdown, you’re probably wondering how you can get on the soirees, which are likely to also feature some sort of free booze.
