Hey kids, it’s weekend time, and with the countdown to labor day underway we hope you make the most of all the free fun things going on. “SVA Chelsea Gallery has been transformed into four distinct listening rooms, each presenting a solo show by one of the featured artists. It’s JunXion’s 3rd annual beach party at Mushroom Park. Expect bbq, boccie ball, soccer, picnic tables, racket ball, basketball, djays, live music, massage, two swimming pools, the atlantic ocean, yoga, food and drink, stories, drumming and jamming on the playa.

Here’s a festival that will make lo-bit and chip-music fans swoon. lWlVl Festival (pronounced low-level) is a two-day event that brings together live music and visual performances, large scale installations, and an interactive arcade. The event runs Friday, August 19 & Saturday, August 20.

FESTIVAL: 1st Annual Coney Island Busker Fest
The 1st annual Coney Island Busker Fest is a celebration organized by The Alliance for Coney Island and Coney Island Brewery, with support from the New York City Council that will feature food, street performers, marching bands, comedy, juggling, acrobatics, live music and more.

MUSIC: Jherek Bischoff and his Silent Orchestra
Head to Times Square for a free concert by Jherek Bischoff’s Silent Orchestra featuring music off Bischoff’s latest album Cistern. One catch, in order to hear the concert you’ll need to be wearing one of the 400 sets of wireless headphones that will be distributed that evening. To passersby, the ensemble will be completely silent. This performance is part of Times Square Arts’ Midnight Moment series. It will be repeated on Monday, August 22.
