Force Field PR Is Celebrating Its 10th Anniversary With Shows in NYC & LA

Force Field PR is getting in the anniversary concert act this year. The Los Angeles-based boutique publicity firm who has worked with the likes of Beach House, Sufjan Stevens, Daniel Johnston, and St. Vincent is celebrating its 10th anniversary with two events, one in New York City at Baby’s All Right on March 3, and one in LA at the Echo and Echoplex on March 12. And while it will be pretty hard to top the three-stage shindig Ground Control Touring put together in December, Force Field PR’s soirees should be pretty impressive. At press time, the artists for both shows are TBA, but you probably don’t want to wait until they’re announced to pick up tickets (New York is on sale here, LA is here).

Daniel Gill started Force Field PR out of his home in the Highland Park neighborhood of Los Angeles in 2006. From there, he moved the company into a shared space with Stones Throw Records, and currently, him and his small crew bunk up with the Friends of Friends label. Gill’s firm has a knack for discovering and cultivating new artists. They are also known for their attention to detail and personal touch.

As for who may be on the bill for these gigs, it’s a selection of artists from Force Field’s past and present. Among the likely suspects are Beach House, Mount Eerie, tUnE-yArDs, Real Estate, Panda Bear, Widowspeak, Wavves, Allo Darlin’, St. Vincent, Sonny and the Sunsets, Dirty Projectors, Thee Oh Sees, Cate Le Bon, Toro Y Moi, Sufjan Stevens, Ariel Pink, Woods, Neon Indian, White Fence, Beach Fossils, and La Sera. There are more clues here.

Seriously, don’t snooze on these shows. You’ll likely be kicking yourself when the line-ups are released. Again, tickets for the Baby’s All Right show are $25 and are available here, and the Echo and Echoplex show’s tickets are $11.50-$40, and are available over here.
