Some bad news regarding Eric André’s Bad Trip. Deadline confirmed yesterday that Orion Pictures, who is distributing the film, has pushed back its release to April 24, 2020. The date had been updated on a few websites over the last few days, but we were holding out hope it was a glitch. Anyway, there is a spot of good news. More details have emerged about the movie, including additional cast and crew. The biggest announcement being that Michaela Conlin (Bones) joins André, Lil Rel Howery, and Tiffany Haddish as one of the film’s main characters.

Bad Trip is a hidden camera comedy that follows two best friends (André and Howery) as they go on a wild cross-country journey. Along the way, they pull off some clever pranks on unsuspecting real-life folks. Haddish plays Howery’s felonious sister, while Conlin plays Maria, Andre’s character’s high school crush.

André re-teamed with The Eric Andre Show’s Dan Curry and Kitao Sakurai on Bad Trip‘s story, with Sakurai as director. Oscar-winning composer Ludwig Göransson of Blank Panther fame helped with the film’s music. And, Sascha Stanton Craven, whose credits include On Cinema, Decker and Mister America, served as lead editor. Bad Trip is produced by Jackass the Movie’s Jeff Tremaine, along with André, Dave Bernad, and Ruben Fleischer.

While we’re waiting for Bad Trip to arrive, André continues to tour. On October 26, he ramps things up again in Michigan and in December he’ll be performing in Australia and New Zealand. All tour dates below.
