Bandcamp is doing it again. On Friday, July 3, 2020, the online music company is waiving its fees to help artists and labels impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Many musicians use this day to release new music exclusively on the platform. Below is a list of things to be on the lookout for:

Father John Misty is dropping a digital covers EP featuring songs from Leonard Cohen, Yusuf / Cat Stevens, and Link Wray. All proceeds benefit CARE Action & Ground Game LA. (link)

John Carpenter is releasing an exclusive color vinyl of Hemoglobin, his first new, non-soundtrack music since 2016. (link)

Superchunk, The Mountain Goats, Iron & Wine, and more contributed covers to Cover Charge: NC Artists Go Under Cover. Proceeds from the digital release benefit Carrboro, NC music venue Cat’s Cradle. (link)

Mikal Cronin released Switched-On Seeker earlier this week. It’s the electronic companion to his 2019 LP Seeker. (link)
