John Dwyer’s Oh Sees have their touring formula down. They do a stint of EU/UK shows in the spring/summer and then tour North America in the fall. Today, the band shared the 2020 dates they have locked. For the North American leg, Oh Sees keyboardist Tomas Dolas’ side project Mr. Elevator opens. Tickets go on sale this Friday, February 14th. The current formation of John Dwyer’s band includes Dolas on keyboards, Paul Quattrone and Dan Rincon on drums, and Tim Hellman on bass. The last record the group released was Face Stabber back in August. If things play out like years past, we expect they’ll drop a new album this summer.

For their New York City shows, the band are changing up venues. They had been playing Warsaw in Brooklyn. The 1,000-capacity space falls under the Mercury East Presents umbrella. However, the 2020 tour finds them doing two nights at Bowery Presents’ Webster Hall. The Manhattan venue is larger, with a capacity of 1,500.

As for synth-driven opener Mr. Elevator, their third full-length release Goodbye, Blue Sky is out now via Dwyer’s label Castleface Records. The band are about to embark on a brief West Coast tour. You can watch their video for album track “Sylvia” below.
